Jazz…in New Mexico???

The answer is Yes, my friends, and it’s been there for years.  I just attended the 2nd Annual New Mexico Jazz Festival in Santa Fe, and that follows  five previous years of jazz festivals in that city under a different name.  And the names over the years have been big…Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, Pancho Sanchez, Kurt Elling…..  I will have my review of this summer’s gigs soon, and will bring you other musical news from this part of the world.

Goin’ to New York

I recently took a trip…a real trip.. to NYC from New Mexico.  What should have taken 5 hours took about 12….and the trip back!?  TWO DAYS! (but hey, I got to taste the night life in Cincinnati!)  So I will have more about this trip soon, and some good tips on what to do, and NOT to do, when trying to keep your sanitywhen flying out of JFK (especailly) this fall….
