Hospitality & Event Industry Professionals Expo in San Francisco

The Meeting Professionals International Northern California Chapter (MPINCC) will host their Annual Conference & Expo at Moscone Center West in San Francisco on Thursday, February 10, 2011.  Offering outstanding networking and education, the MPINCC Annual Conference & Expo is considered one of the leading regional shows for the meeting planning and hospitality industries.  Each year for the last few years this reporter has covered this exciting and educational event.  More and more it has an element of the Event Planning world infused into this timely conference and 1 day expo. This year the Event City Creative Magazine will be there with a direct focus on the Expo’s Theme, “Back to Business”. The timely and relevant workshop sessions to be presented by outstanding thought leaders include:  legal issues confronting meeting professionals in today’s environment, technology tools for busy professionals, making meetings work for the interactive generation, the state of the industry, strategic meeting management and more.

As mentioned above, this year’s Conference & Expo theme is “Back to Business.”  So what does that mean?  When you look at the environment today where we conduct our business, with all of our electronic tools, social networking, social media, the worldwide Internet, our contacts and connections are more important than ever.  What better way to get back to business than a full day of face-to-face time with industry peers, vendors and prospective clients?  When attending this Conference there are a plethora of opportunities to make new connections – At the early day workshops and classrooms, walking to and fro even registering, when the Expo floor opens up, and at the post-show late afternoon reception.

More than 4,000 industry professionals are invited to attend. From corporate planners, independent meeting and event planners, association, government and meeting management people will all be there. There are always strong educational sessions, great prizes, plenty of time on the Expo floor and the popular Networking Reception. The reception will take place on the Third Level of Moscone West directly upstairs from the exhibit hall.  We hope to see you there.
